About Figurative Sculpture Studio

Steven Hunter and Douglas Jennings studied figurative sculpture at
Stafford Art College where they were inspired by classical sculptors such
as Michelangelo, Bernini and Rodin. Douglas embarked upon his career at
Madame Tussaudswhere he specialised in portrait sculpture of celebrities
and historical figures. His interest in developing realistic and accurate
portrait figures has continued as a freelance sculptor.Steven has worked
within film, television, museum exhibitions and giftware. His approach to sculpture now is varied both in style and medium from loosely modelled to
a very high realistic finish.
Steven and Douglas sculpt with sensitivity to the human form whether in
miniature or large scale bronze.
There commissions include 'Mrs Jordan' for the Royal Collection, Buckingham Palace and Jupitus for Matthew Wurr and Co.for the Queen Mary II cruise liner, public figures such as Ken Livingstone, Mayor of London. Films include Troy, Phantom of the Opera and Tim Burtons
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and various commissions for heritage sites, museums and private international collections.
